Was stumbling on the internet archive about a strange subsect of movies with people who dress up as super sentai esc warriors and duke it out. I love this genre of cinema so much. I found this cute little photoshoot of one of the warriors but for the life of me I can't find where the movie is online. It's probably on someones dead hard drive in japan at least, but I would like to see it one day.(10/9/2024 update. I FOUND THE VIDEO ON INTERNET ARCHIVE It's 24:37 long and I downloaded it I am so watching it this weekend I am so happy you Can't even phathom how happy I am in this very moment. I am in nirvana) But for now, a small little translation of said photoshoot. (Updated 12/26/2024) Fun update. I was looking at my bookmarked websites and found the main page where this photoshoot came from and found another page that I didn't translate. It's a small passage so I think making a whole new html for it is a tad repetative. What happened to that Sabra Killer 7 translation? It's 95% done, timestamped and all, but there are just 2 lines of dialouge where people are talking over each other that stumped me and I don't want to post a translation that imcomplete. One unknown line tops. Anyways, with this find, I think it acutally related to the photo on this front page, even if the other girl isn't Suzuki. Anyways, here is the part of the site that I missed.
リラちゃんの初仕事 Lilac Chan's First Job 売り子リラ Sales Girl Lilac 粋狂 「ついに皆さんの目の前にリラちゃんを御披露目出来ましたね｡」 We are finally able to present before everyone’s eyes, Lilac Chan. リラ 「はい、間に合ってよかったですぅ♪♪」 Yes, I’m so glad we made it on time~. 粋狂 「ワンフェスでお披露目するって決まったのもぎりぎりだったし、衣装なんかもよく間に合ったよなぁ｡」 The decision to unveil at WonderFest came at the last minute, so I’m amazed that the costume somehow made the deadline.. リラ 「粋狂さんも衣装を間に合わせてくれた奇妙堂さんに感謝してくださいよ｡」 Suikyou San, you should also make sure to thank Kimyoudou for getting the costumes done in time. 粋狂 「もちろん｡分かっておりますとも｡ところでリラちゃん｡」 Of course. I’ll be sure to. By the way, Lilac Chan. リラ 「ん！何ですの？」 Yes! What is it? 粋狂 「スズカプロジェクトのブースで初めてお客さんの前に立ってみて、どうだった？」 At the Suzuki Project Booth, how was it standing in front of the customers for the first time? リラ 「緊張しました｡でもスズカちゃんもいたし、なんとかなりましたね｡とっても楽しかったですよ｡」 I did my best. But Suzuki chan was also there, and it all just worked out somehow. It was very fun. 粋狂 「よかった、よかった｡お客さんの評判も悪くなかったね｡」 That's nice, very nice. The customers reactions weren’t bad リラ 「ハイ！！ほとんどの客さんはいい人ばかりだったですし・・・｡」 YES!! Almost all the customers were nice people… 粋狂 「そうそう、ブースの周りで、うちらに声をかけることなく真剣に黙々とビデオを撮ってた人がいたけど、傍から見てて近寄りがたいオーラがでてたなぁ｡」 Right, right, around the booth, there was a guy seriously and silently taking a video without speaking to us, but from an outsider's perspective, his aura was intimidating. リラ 「はいはい、憶えてますよ｡あれはちょっと怖かったですぅ｡やっぱり一声かけて撮影するとか、周りの目もあるし、マナーは大切ですよね｡」 Yes yes, I remember that. That was a bit scary. As expected, giving a heads up before taking photos or videos of us, a lot of people are watching us, after all, so manners are important, right?
